Beekeeping 101

My SIL Beth and I have started a new adventure since life was dull  since we love new adventures.  Truth be told, we are addicted to raw honey.  Last night we suited up to see if our queen bee had been released in one hive and see how busy the queen was laying eggs in the other.  It was more exhilarating than sky diving but I'm a foodie nerd now so......well, and I'm also terrified of heights.

Here's me with the smoker.  The equivalent of a few Corona's, it makes the bees excited in a good, non-swarming-way to see you!
