Lauren: Mom, are you 1/2 Mom and 1/2 kid?

I so know where this is going....I'm such a fun, cool Mom that she thinks I'm like a kid....

Me: (corny, big smile) What do you mean sweetheart?

I mean, I already know, I just have to hear her say it.

Lauren: Well, because you're our Mom but really, you're God's kid.

So, 1/2 and 1/2 right?

Me: Oh. (seriously deflated) I mean, yes of course. 1/2. And 1/2.

We have thoroughly enjoyed....

....our Indian Summer.

The Pres is Back

Here we are a year later. Remember this one?

Madeline's journal entry today asked what she would do if she woke up as President.

If I woke up as President I would say that everything should go back to Amish. I think its a very nice country.

(uh oh, I must be confusing her when I refer to "Amish country?")

Also, it is way more healthy than fast food because they shoot their own meat

(peeing in my pants laughing) and make their own bread and grind their own wheat and farm stuff on their own. They do not spray pesicides on their food and they have a garden and everything they eat is organic. And that is what I'd like to do for my people.
